Vintage Shovel Pumpkin
Sometimes I just want to turn everything I find
into a pumpkin in the Fall.
This little cutie started out life as a children's shovel. The kind that came with a metal pail back in the day.
I painted the head of the shovel with my favorite DIY orange chalky paint and the "stem" of the pumpkin a pretty light brown.
I added wired tendrils, a leaf and a bow using the glue gun.
and ended up with the cutest little junky shovel pumpkin!
It looks great on my fall mantel along with all the other repurposed junky pumpkins!
I made this DIY ladder a while back and it's been on my mantel ever since.
