You just slop it on right over the old chippy finish...
Paint it right into the cracks and then sand some off,
it's really ok if you miss spots...
because it still looks fabulous!

LOL! Been there, done that, Susan! Did she even realize it was done? : ) My son used to say he was keeping me company - that was his contribution. It turned out beautiful! That mirror was made to be white!

OMGosh what a cute post! I have a 12 year old daughter, I can relate. What a great deal on the mirror, it turned out beautiful! My husband spotted a mirror similar to yours (beveled and a tad bigger) at the flea market. It was the end of the day so we got him down from his $60 asking price to only $20 since he didn't want to pack it back up. I used my AS paint, wax, and distressed and sold it at my booth for $165.
