Rustic Flag Tray

It used to be an old rustic tray with a great shape from my favorite Goodwill store.

and for once I didn't want to paint it white.

I decided to paint a flag motif on it for the 4th of July.

I began by taping off the areas I was going to paint white.

I painted in the red and blue areas, removed the tape, then painted in the white stripes and added a star.

Using antiquing medium and brown paint, I aged the flag tray to give it a rustic look.

I gave the tray a coat of spray sealer and it's ready for a party!

Happy 4th of July!
