How to Paint an Ornate Mirror

This large ornate mirror was found at a garage sale and refinished in minutes for just pennies!

It is going to be perfect for my daughter's room, and look... she's texting helping!

I used Annie Sloan Chalk Paint and just slopped it on right over the old chippy finish.

There was no need to prep the mirror other than to clean the wood with a little soap and a rag.

Paint it right into the cracks and then rub some off, it's really ok if you miss spots.

I would recommend using a wet sanding approach, rub it off with a wet rag as you paint the detail.

This way you are not damaging any of the details with sand paper.

It looks fabulous when you're finished!

Now it's ready to hang in this very helpful daughter's room!

Don't you just love to see them work for what they want?
