Upcycled Kitchen Ipad Stand
When I saw the ipad stand at Pottery Barn
I knew I had to make one!
And in true Homeroad style, it had to be made of repurposed parts.
An old cutting board from the thrift store, a piece of
antique trim molding leftover from another project, and
an old trowel found in my grandfather's basement.
I epoxied the trowel to the back of the cutting board,
and yes, it is amazingly sturdy!
I added a stencil for decoration.
The pieces came together to create a one of a kind,
junk styled ipad stand for my kitchen!
The best part is that it works with the case too!
Take a look at a few more ipad stands I created...

That's brilliant! I really like the old trowel as the bracket, such a great idea. My favourite diy's always involve using unusual items, and this one rocked it.
ReplyDeleteLove this one Susan! Especially the old trowel for the stand. How creative. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteThat is so cool, Susan! Who'd think to use a cutting board in that way! Well, you did. : ) It is actually perfect in a kitchen, too, especially if you use a lot of recipes online. I'm always either printing recipes out and propping them on my cookbook stand or I have my laptop sitting on the upper counter to look at.
ReplyDeleteSo clever! You continually amaze me.
ReplyDeleteLove it!!!
ReplyDeleteYou are soooo clever. Love how your creative mind works:) Now if I can just find me an old trowel!
