Grain Sack Striped Ipad Stand

An ipad stand with bright grain sack pizazz...

I get so excited when I find a new cutting board at the thrift store.

Making ipad stands from cutting boards are just about my favorite thing to repurpose.

It is probably because I am quite the ipad addict. I use mine
for almost everything... reading magazines, blogs, books,
the weather, shopping, movies, recipes... you name it.

Here is my latest cutting board painted white and
ready for the next step.

I used DecoArt (affiliate link) satin paint and washi tape to paint a grain sack stripe down the front of the board.

A scrabble shelf holds the ipad securely.

A piece of driftwood and a hinge made the perfect
collapsable stand for the back.

A matching grosgrain ribbon secures the stand.

I had a lot of fun making several ipad stands for my Etsy Shop, they were so popular just about all of them sold in minutes!

I hope the new owner of this one is enjoying her purchase.

They securely hold your ipad or reader for movie watching
but my favorite thing is to use it for reading recipes in the kitchen.

All of my recipes are now on line and the stand holds
my ipad securely and away from
the mess while I read the recipe.

One of the best parts is the collapsable stand
that makes it easy to store away!
I hope you enjoyed this project and you'll take a look at my Amazon Shop for craft supplies I recommend. Also while you're here please sign up for the Homeroad emails on my sidebar so I can send my latest DIY post straight to you.
