DIY No Sew Patriotic Pennants
The Fourth of July calls for home made flag pennants!
Here is a method to create your own with
scraps of fabric you may already have.
Last summer I bought curtain fabric on clearance
and created these nautical pillows.
Today the scraps from that project will become Fourth of July pennants.
#1
I roughly cut the scraps into triangles, leaving some of the tab tops in tact.
#2
Using hot glue I folded over the tab tops and slid jute
string through the tabs, giving each a dot of glue to secure the pennant in place.
#3
I created a star stencil out of a piece of heavy paper
and stenciled a blue star on a few of the pennants.
#4
When the paint was dry I gave the pennants a quick pressing and they were ready to hang.
Rough cuts, fraying fabric, and a
quick stencil made for easy, no cost DIY flag pennants...
It was easy as 1, 2, 3, 4!

I'm always so amazed when people are able to pick up something on clearance, and then use it later to make something awesome. I love the nautical pillows, and then using the scraps with the tabs for the pennant was genius! It looks great and is a perfect addition to a summer mantel. Well done!
