Up-Cycled Outdoor Coffee Table

I sat on my deck looking at the ugly black
wrought iron coffee table in front of me.

I thought about how much I didn't like it and I decided to get up and do something about it right now!

I went down to the basement where I keep the things I pick up on the side of the road but don't know what to do with pile.

In that pile was a table leaf that was exactly the right size.

I flipped the table over onto the table leaf and screwed them together.

It was seriously the perfect fit!

I painted the whole table light green, then taped-off stripes with Frog Tape and painted the stripes white.

I used Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in Versailles and Pure White.

When the paint dried I sanded the table with very fine sandpaper to make it very smooth.

I sanded extra hard in several places to give it a worn look.

This table is under a canopy but the varnish will keep it protected from the elements and from stains.

Several hours later I had an awesome new outdoor coffee table.

Now I can sit back down and find something else to re-do.

This project was easy and looks beautiful!
