Yellow Wine Rack Beverage Center

Another sweet find from a friend...

A coat of paint sure can make a huge difference!

Here is the before... ok, but it can be better. This
fakey wood color is definitely not working!

I'm painting this wine rack yellow even though yellow is traditionally a hard color to work with.  I'm trying an Annie Sloan Chalk paint color that I've never tried, it's called Arles.

I remember once buying yellow paint for my
daughter's room. I think I had to paint 15 coats to
get the color right... As I remember it was kind of
like a school bus yellow.... yuk!

Arles however, is a very pretty mellow yellow.

My only issue with this color was that once again....
it needed many coatsto cover the brown base.

Usually ASCP only needs 2 coats to get great coverage.

I think it's that "yellow thing" again....

When the wine rack cabinet was finally painted,
I gave it a little Miss Mustard Seed -esque design...

and now here it is... it's done and it is looking gooood!

The top section has a great space for hanging glasses...

and the bottom has a wire rack for the wine bottles...

A coat of paint sure changed the look!

A big thank you to all my friends who bring me
things they find! I have a lot of fun fixing them up!
