Wooden Glittered Pinecones

I'm always pulling over and picking up
furniture off the side of the road.

This time however, it wasn't to re-do the chairs.

It was for these awesome finials on top of the chairs.

Can you see what I saw?

Snowy, glittery pinecones.

I started out by cutting the finials off the chairs then attached a screw eye to the top of each one.

I gave the finials a coat of oil rubbed bronze paint.

I could have left them like this, they were so cute!

But when the finials were dry I gave them a squirt of spray snow.

When the snow dried I dabbed on Modge Podge then
added clear glitter.

These little lovelies are going to look great on
my Christmas tree.

See what happened to the rest of the chair! {HERE}

  1. Your pinecones are so pretty, those chair toppers were perfect for them!

  2. I saw your Facebook post and could not for the life of me figured out what you used. Now I know your secret. =) So sweet!

  3. The PERFECT repurpose if I ever saw one! Adorable!

  4. These are adorable! On another topic - what did you spray on that cute red truck with the Christmas tree in the back to make it look like snow? Love that.

  5. That's just so clever. Love what you did Susan
