In my Pre K class, it began as a fun project with one child.

It grew to a table full of 4 and 5 year old's learning to use the stapler and hole punch for the first time.

This is a great fine motor activity for kids!

These were my samples... needless to say theirs didn't look quite as symmetrical.

The children were very proud of their creations none the less.

It was fun watching their eyes light up when they saw the strips of paper turn into hearts.

Then their strings of hearts turn into wreaths.

We used strips of 1 1/2" card stock strips.

Hold together two strips and bend over each side to make a loop on each side.

Staple the 2 loops together then add 2 more under the first two and staple.

Continue until you have a long strip of loops, then staple them together in a circle.

With all this pink and heart fun, could a request for rainbow hearts be far behind?
