Wood Slice Mini Chalkboards
These wood slices didn't start out as you might think.
On the clearance table at the West Elm store were wood slice coasters for $2.95 a set that were painted with
holiday messages.
The second I saw them I knew they would be
perfect to try out my new DecoArt chalkboard paint.

I gave each wood slice 2 coats of chalkboard paint.
The paint went on smoothly and covered completely.
When the chalkboard paint was dry I rubbed the side
of chalk on the wood slice to prep the chalkboards.
I drilled a hole and strung the chalkboard with a length of jute.
These little cuties turned out great and there was
no wood cutting involved this time.
I love the DecoArt chalkboard paint and can't wait to use it again... I have an idea already picked out!
I hope you enjoyed this project and you'll take a look at my Amazon Shop for craft supplies I recommend. Also while you're here please sign up for the Homeroad emails on my sidebar so I can send my latest DIY post straight to you.
Love these Susan!
