How to Make a French IPad Stand

Even though I've made and sold many of these...

They're fun to make and to watch fly out of the shop!

Your ipad sits securely on the scrabble ledge...

And when it is not in use, it looks adorable on your counter top.

This one was made from an old cutting board.

The image was achieved by printing out (in reverse) a laser image from the Graphics Fairy then using Mod Podge to adhere it face down onto the ipad stand.

When the paper is dry, I wet it again and then just start rubbing.

Rub the paper until the entire image is on the board with no residue... this may take some patience.

I usually let it dry again and then rub the rest of the residue off the board.

On the back I usually add some kind of rusty old tool or
piece of hardware so the ipad stand is secure while adding a little interest.

I then clear wax the whole ipad stand and it is gorgeous!
