Hanging Coffee Bar Sign

A one of a kind sign created for a coffee bar...

Using the back of an old chair for the top arch,
and a piece of reclaimed flooring for the sign,

I created a coffee bar sign with a little extra zing!

I painted a reclaimed floor board light green
then gave it a dark wash effect.

I printed out the word COFFEE on the computer
then using carbon paper, traced it onto the board.
I painted in the letters with black craft paint.

When the letters were dry I sprayed the painted surface with water,
dry brushed a darker color over the water,
then wiped the wet surface with a rag.

This leaves a beautiful streaked effect on the sign.

Using eye hooks and clips I attached the sign to the arch and
my coffee sign has a little extra character.
