Pedestal Chalkboard

Today I'm making good use of the parts from
a very unusual old trunk I found on the side of the road.

I'm repurposing one of the doors for this project.

This piece was hollow, no shelves, no bottom, and the side was cracked so I'm using it for parts.

The back of the door was perfect for the project I had in mind.

The doors had a liner paper on them which I removed with water and a scraper.

I gave the center of the door a coat of black paint before
I added a piece of ready-made chalkboard cut to fit
perfectly into the center of the door.

Using the base of an old lamp, I attached the new chalkboard to the base with a large screw and nut.

I decorated the chalkboard for the Holidays...

a beautiful way to count down the days until Christmas!

And when Christmas is over this little pedestal chalkboard
will make a great little list keeper or Love note chalkboard.

  5. Your ads are annoying. They show up at the bottom of your pictures and sometimes obscure the content.
