How to Make a DIY Set of Pallet Angel Wings
Wooden angel wings can be pretty expensive to buy so I'm doing my own DIY from a found pallet... FREE!
First I drew the shape I wanted on a piece of computer paper.
My wings are small... about 5" x10" each.
I traced my shape onto a piece of found pallet wood then cut out the wings with my scroll saw.
I used Pure White Annie Sloan Chalk Paint® to paint the wings but you could paint yours with any paint you have at home.
Then I distressed the edges heavily.
I attached both wings to a small block of wood on the back and attached a key knob as a hanger in the center.
The best part is that you can make these wings in any shape or size you want.
Large wings can be made with 1" x 12" wood from Home Depot.
Give it a try and have fun!

DeleteSusan, the reason I often Pin your projects is because you are so generous to share how you create them. And, everything you do seems so unique. Just wanted to thank you for all the inspiration your blog provides. I may never make one of your projects, but I always use your pins to inspire other ideas.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much! I love to inspire others... I'm a teacher at heart and I love to teach others what I know... or what I make up LOL
