Make a Cutting Board into a Chalkboard Center
This thrift store cutting board had a great shape and now has a new life.
I started out by giving the cutting board a coat of chalkboard paint.
When the paint dried I added a section of vintage ruler and a Scrabble rack as a chalk holder.
I added vintage cup hooks to hang keys and this project was a wrap!
An easy repurpose from an inexpensive thrift store find.

ReplyDeleteThanks so much Debra, the yardsticks belonged to a friend that passed so they have special meaning too :)
DeleteCute and simple!
ReplyDeleteGotta love those simple projects! :)
DeleteSmart idea using the yard stick to brace the molding for chalk.. It looks so handy and you have given it a good use for your own house or as a gift. Great re-purposing. Happy weekend,
