Usually I show you a step by step tutorial of what I'm making.  Today however, I was in such a zone that I finished the whole project in a few minutes and only got around to taking photos when I was finished. Trust me though, it's worth the read!

If you love working with free scraps you're going to love this rag-tag standing Santa! He's made with reclaimed fence pieces and scrap fabric from the donation pile! He would look great on your front porch or by the fireplace!

I had an old piece of steel laying around,
it was a great color and had a great textured patina...

Welcome Junker Friends! You are in for a treat today!

Rustic is my favorite language and when I found a pile of old fence boards on the side of the road one day, I had several Christmas projects in mind.

Every beautiful garden needs a rustic garden sign or two.

I love finding cast-offs and salvaged pieces and I love to turn them into something fabulous!

Well I'm at it again... building the outdoor furniture I need by myself. Today, it's a cute little outdoor sink I needed by the garden so I built my own and I will show you how it was done.

I transformed this old gate into an antique flower box.

I cut the wood to a nice long length. This box will be 2' long.
The side pieces on my flower box are rounded  so I rounded the end pieces to match...

Using painters tape as a top and bottom guide for my letters, I hand painted the word antiques onto the box.

The reclaimed wood is a beautiful aged color  with a hint of whitewash.
It makes a beautiful table centerpiece or flower box!

Can you see it filled with candles or other seasonal items?

A few years ago I made a junky birdhouse for my backyard. I used all reclaimed parts and rusty things I found around my house. It was easier than you may think, the hard part ended up to be the hole...

Welcome to Homeroad where I repurpose vintage and found objects to build and create new and unique home decor.

After taking apart an old whitewashed gate I was anxious to use the reclaimed wood.
