Washi Tape Dispenser

The minute I found these 2 beauties
I knew they were special...

I think at one time they were
for cassette tapes...

I knew right away what I was going to use them for... I admired a tape dispenser on Pinterest that got me thinking...

I loved the idea of using a hacksaw blade but
it wasn't long enough for this project...

...but the cutting edge from my
parchment paper was!

I pulled the blade off the cardboard and
glued and nailed it onto the
edge of the box...

It works perfectly as a cutting edge.

This box made one awesome dispenser for my
washi tape!

The tape fits snuggly into the spaces.

Luckily there are a lot more spaces. I might even add another cutting edge to the other side because I just ordered more tape!

PS the other one is on my Etsy shop if you're interested!

  3. What a fabulous idea... a winner! I would have been afraid of the hacksaw blade. But the strip from the parchment paper roll? Now that I could handle! By the way, where do you buy all the washi tape from? I haven't seen some of those designs and they are just adorable! I especially like the orange and blue printed tapes!

  5. Pretty neat tape. I am loving the new Duct tape patterns also. Thinking that Duct tape is no longer just a mans tape. lol
