Laundry sign on Driftwood
Driftwood is beautiful and is free reclaimed
wood for projects.
This drifted board is one of my favorites.
I found it on the beach last summer and today I sanded it up a little, then gave it a quick coat of white chalk paint.
To create the lettering on this sign I printed out a font I liked on the computer.
This font is called Academy Engraved.
I scribbled with pencil on the back of each letter then traced over the letters leaving the image on the board.
Then using one of my favorite new things...
a paint Sharpie, {affiliate link}
I painted in the letters and the pen made it easy!
When the paint dried I distressed the lettering and the edges with sandpaper.
A quick coat of dark wax gave the laundry sign instant aging.
I loved it so much I started on a few more!
