An Entry Bench & Fusion Mineral Paint

This bench has a new life and a new home...

Found on the side of the road under a pile of snow was a
very heavy colonial looking bench with a back.

This bench was worth saving...
It was old, pegged together, and solid oak.

After removing the leatherette cushioned seat and the
back of the bench, I decided to try a new paint.

Fusion Mineral Paint is an acrylic paint that
dries to a chalky finish with no waxing.

The paint went on smoothly and evenly.

I was pleasantly surprised at the coverage from only one coat.

The great chunky Fusion brush made it quick
and easy to paint the spindles. It holds a lot of paint and didn't
leave any brush strokes in the paint.

I gave the bench a quick sanding to
distressed the edges and my new entry bench
 was finished in no time!

The bench is a good sturdy place to sit to put on boots and shoes.

I am thrilled with the Fusion Mineral Paint and
so happy to be able to repurpose this bench
and save it from the land fill.
