Merry Christmas Decorative Window
I haven't used my Silhouette vinyl cutting machine in a long time but when I found these windows I knew I had to drag it out of the closet and get to work.
It's been a while so it took me way longer than it should have to make the vinyl for these windows.
Using this machine has a small learning curve but every year and with every update they get easier to use.
The machine I have is about 10 years old now, might be time to invest in a new one!
Anyway, these are the doors from an old hutch I had removed and I'm now repurposing.
I searched through the Silhouette store for a Merry Christmas sign that would be the perfect shape for this window.
You will pay a small monthly fee to access hundreds and hundreds of SVG files to create almost anything!
The birch trees hooked me. They were the perfect size and shape to fit on this beautiful old window.

I added an old brass knob to the center of the frame where it looks like a handle had once been.
Luckily I found two of these windows because one sold at the craft fair and one is for me!

These look like the doors to a barrister's bookcase, but whatever they are, I love your final result.
ReplyDeleteThis is one of the prettiest window designs I have EVER seen. It looks fabulous with that dark frame! You certainly nailed this one, Susan! You'd better make about 80... :)
ReplyDeleteI LOVE it! I'm so glad you had two of them so you could keep one for yourself. I have the same problem with my Silhouette; I'm always relearning every time I use it. Thanks for sharing your windows at Vintage Inspiration Party.
