Merry Christmas Decorative Window
Two antique windows from an old piece of furniture become beautiful Christmas signs...
I haven't used my Silhouette machine in a long time but when I found these windows I knew I had to drag it out of the closet and get to work.
It's been a while so it took me way longer than it should have to make the vinyl for these windows.
I searched through the Silhouette store for a Merry Christmas sign that would be the perfect shape for this window.
After spending a while relearning how to use the machine... I found what I was looking for and was finally ready to cut the sign.
The birch trees hooked me... they look awesome with the dark original wood of the window.
I added an old brass knob to the center of the frame where it looks like one had once been.
Luckily I found two of these windows... because one sold at the craft fair and one is for me!
Something tells me I've go to take out my Silhouette more often!

These look like the doors to a barrister's bookcase, but whatever they are, I love your final result.
ReplyDeleteThis is one of the prettiest window designs I have EVER seen. It looks fabulous with that dark frame! You certainly nailed this one, Susan! You'd better make about 80... :)
ReplyDeleteI LOVE it! I'm so glad you had two of them so you could keep one for yourself. I have the same problem with my Silhouette; I'm always relearning every time I use it. Thanks for sharing your windows at Vintage Inspiration Party.
