Architectural Chalkboard Created From Broken Furniture

Do you recognize this piece?

wooden table base

I may have to tell you but you can find out all about it by visiting this post.

Maybe this will help... Did you peek yet?

Wooden table base painted grey

Add a shelf to the top and a piece of trim to the bottom.

Did I mention I love my new nail gun?

No compressor required!

Wooden shelf added to grey painted piece

And a coat of Paris Grey Annie Sloane Chalk Paint

Add to that a wash of Pure White then paint the center with chalkboard paint.

Then add a hook and a Scrabble ledge to hold the chalk.

And you have the second (though slightly different)
architectural chalkboard created from those mystery pieces.

Grey Chalkboard hanging on the wall

This was a fun transformation using pieces that were headed for the trash!
