Repurposed Chicken Wire Shelf
This pretty chicken wire shelf came a long way....
It wasn't nearly as pretty as it is right now when I found it.
A lot of sanding, a couple coats of Pure White, and then a dry brush of French Linen Annie Sloan Chalk Paint® over the top brought this old shelf back to life.
I dry brushed using a small amount of French Linen on my brush. I squirted the white surface with water from a spray bottle then painted the darker paint over the top of the white. I immediately wiped back the French Linen with a rag leaving streaks that look like natural aging.
I attached a ceramic number tag to the top and clothespins to the chicken wire to hold notes or photos.
The shelf is gorgeous now and ready for a new life.
