Grain Sack Bag Organizer

Often I will see something on Pinterest or on another blog that I save so I can make it myself one day.

Grain Sack Bag Organizer

This grain sack organizer is one of those projects.

I saw one I loved made by Angie at Knick of Time.

Angie from Knick of Time created gorgeous Grain Sack Pockets on Barn Wood and inspired me to try this project for myself.

I loved her project and I saved it, today I'm making my own.

I found the perfect wood on the side of the road on my way to work.

I love it when that happens! The length and width of this thick plywood was perfect for this project!

I stained the wood using a dark Kona colored water based stain.

My grain sacks are made from Vardagen napkins I found at IKEA.

I cut the napkins in half and hand sewed the napkins into a pocket.

I inserted small grommets to the back of the pocket so I could screw it to the board and remove the sacks to clean them if necessary without damaging the fabric.

I added a chalkboard pig to the top of the board for decoration because a little farmhouse bling never hurts.

This is an easy project that looks great in the kitchen holding cooking tools or in an office holding important papers.

Thanks Angie you are a creative genius and I for one am constantly inspired!
