Build Your Own Fresh Flowers Wooden Crate Table Centerpiece
When I saw this beautiful Fresh Flowers stencil at Knick of Time, I had a picture of a beautiful flower box
like this one in mind.
Today I'm going to show you how I built a box using scraps from the workshop and I'm adding affiliate links to some of the supplies I used for this project so you can create your own. Click on the bold links to visit my Amazon links.
I built the box using 1" x 4" pieces left over from the many rustic trays I've built lately.

I built a simple, basic rectangular box and added a wooden carrying knob from an old piece of furniture to each end.
I painted the box inside and out using Fusion Mineral Paint in their Algonquin color. This paint is great and there is NO waxing! Inexpensive chip brushes are all you need to paint this project.
I received my stencil from Knick of Time. Angie's farmhouse stencils are beautiful and the perfect stencils for all your farmhouse projects.
I spray the back of my stencils with spray adhesive before I begin. I use spray adhesive every time I stencil to keep the paint from leaking under the stencil.
When all the paint and stenciling was dry, I lightly sanded the box with 220 grit sandpaper to distress the edges and the lettering.
You can fill the flower box with faux flowers or add small mason jars inside to fill with water for fresh flowers.
While I had the paint out I decided to make a matching pillow cover using this beautiful stencil.
