Repurposed Spindle Carrots
Wendi from H20 Bungalow's Spindle Carrots made these gorgeous spindle carrots and I knew right away I had to give this project a try.
I'm going to let you visit Wendi for the complete DIY tutorial so I will just show you the ones I made this morning.
I snapped this pic and put it on my Instagram and before I knew it I had orders for 3 sets of three carrots!
I had the perfect spindles for this project and became a little obsessed with them!
I mixed yellow and red chalky paint to make a gorgeous shade of carrot orange and got to work right away painting these beauties.
I finished them off with a quick coat of clear wax that darkened the beautiful orange color.
And while Wendi did something different for her carrot greenery, I took apart pieces from faux flowers I had in my supplies.
I think they are the cutest things ever!
I had a few pieces of the perfect sized wood cut in the shape of an arrow so I added some greenery to the end of these too and created my own version of a rustic DIY carrot.
I must warn you however that you might not be able to stop making carrots and will begin seeing carrots everywhere you go.

Here are a couple of table legs that were just laying around my workshop and are now giant carrots.
Thanks so much Wendi for the inspiration on this project!
