Jenga Block Number Matching Game

I'm a DIY blogger and a Preschool Teacher so today
I decided to combine the two as I get ready for
another year of teaching.

Jenga blocks are one of my favorite old games to use on my DIY projects.

I've used them for years on DIY ornaments, see them HERE, HERE and HERE

I used them to make an American Flag HERE.

DIY projects using Jenga game

Today I'm using Jenga Blocks to create a number matching game for my Pre-Kindergarten class.

I began by using a stack of mini Post-it® Note labels and sticking one white label to each block.

Next I printed out numbers and number words 0-10.

I cut out the words and numbers and glued them to the labels. I sealed each label with a piece of clear tape for protection.

This game has many uses. I will use them in my Morning Meetings for many different games.

Children can put the blocks in number order, match the number to the number word, put the number words in ABC order, stack the blocks in reverse order.... many fun ideas with one game.

They can stack counters next to the number blocks too.

I decided to make these so the children could count the dots and add them to their learning experience.

I'm excited to begin my 34th year of teaching, mostly in the preschool and I love this age. If you're a teacher or just want to follow along please visit my brand new teaching blog: Homeroad Preschool. I just started this blog to document preschool projects so bear with me :)
