Make Your Own Mini Pallet Coasters

My daughter and I saw these cute coasters in Marshalls and I knew in a minute they'd be my next DIY project!

I knew I had some small pieces of wood from an old game in the workshop that would be perfect.
You can use small trim wood pieces and cut your own to the size you want.

DIY Stenciled Pallet Coasters using scrap wood

I created small pallets by attaching small cross bars with scrap wood on the back of the boards. I attached them with small nails, you could also use wood glue.

This part took about 5 minutes with a nail gun!

The next step was to stencil the tiny pallets and I have the perfect stencil for this!  I used the new Shipping Label stencil from Old Sign Stencils. You can purchase it by visiting the bold link. Please note that all prices are in Canadian.

When the paint dried I coated the pallet coasters with a stain with sealer to keep the wood from staining when a drink is on them. Don't they look authentic?!

These little cuties are now ready to hold my favorite drink!
Ok well at 8am coffee is my favorite drink, sometime around 5 these coasters will be perfect for my real favorite drink!

I made these pallet coasters for free using scraps around the workshop but you can make them for a lot less than they sell for in the stores. These coasters will make excellent holiday gifts!
