Don't you just love snow globe ornaments?! I love to make them myself too and I've made several over the years. 
Today I'm going to show you how to dress up those cheapie dollar store snow globe ornaments. By adding a little rust we are going to make them amazing!

I save a lot of jars, bottles, and thrift store salt shakers throughout the year just so I can make these amazingly easy and adorable Christmas snow globe ornaments.


Some are made with recycled jars my favorite being the Trader Joes Everything But a Bagel jar. 
Salt shakers are another favorite and I hit the mother load one day at the thrift store when I found 8 of them all the same. 

This pile of beautiful chandelier crystals, mercury glass beads, and cookie cutters is repurposed into  some amazing ornaments.

Every year I make a new Christmas ornament using Scrabble tiles.

It began with a lucky find at the thrift store. A box of small white ornaments that could definitely be used for something! It didn't take long for me to figure out what that was. 

Today marks my 5th craft fair at our local library. 

If you've been following along this Christmas season you've seen that I had a whole bunch of wooden ornaments that were made by a special family member. 
I literally had about 30 of them and wanted to find a way to celebrate these ornaments and give them new life. 
I made a very cute hanging decoration but I only used 5 of the ornaments. 
So I had another idea...

Today I'm grabbing some recycled sherpa from the donation pile in my basement. 
I have several daughters and a few still live at home or very near by and they have more used clothing to donate than I can even believe! 
Repurposing fabric is a great way to recycle and the cute projects you can make with them are not only cute but very cost effective. 
Today I'm making mushroom ornaments made with a recycled sherpa jacket... let's call them Sherpa Shrooms!
