We all have them... those old heirloom pumpkins we bought years ago to decorate our homes for Fall. 
Fast forward a few years, they've been stored in bins in the basement or garage and they now have bumps, bruises, and scuffs you didn't notice until it was time to take them out again. 
I don't know about you but mine even get batted and bounced around by the grandchildren when they're on display during the season. 
I've finally decided it was time for a mine to get a makeover!

I am loving this beautiful new speckled Robin's egg blue color for the Spring and it was purely a happy accident.

The best part about painted furniture is that you can always paint it again! 

This coffee table started out a couple of years ago found on a Facebook Market site for about $25. I brought it home, took it apart and painted it.

My house is full! I don't sell what I make so everything you see on Homeroad is either for my house or is in storage. I've gotta get back to doing the craft fairs! 
Needless to say, my house is very full in every way at Christmas time!

While out on a walk one morning I was thrilled to find this little beauty right on the top of someone's trash pile.

This was a super sturdy little bench but the top had certainly seen better days. 
I brought it home with me and my goal was to make it better than I found it, which wasn't hard to do.

Right away I got busy sanding the chippy top. 
It was quite damaged and pitted but it was a cute bench so totally worth the trouble. 
I painted all but the top of the bench with Raw Silk by Fusion Mineral Paint.

I just love everything American flag so every year I try to make at least one flag project.

An outdoor market sale was on the agenda this weekend and as usual I found a treasure, it didn't start out as a treasure but it sure was! 


Everything at the outdoor market was very inexpensive and priced to go, including this wooden box. I'm not sure what the purpose of this was supposed to be, looks like some kind of mass produced DIY flower box that never happened. The price was right, $3 was about my budget so I brought it home. This is also something you could do by creating your own rectangular box with rails. 

When I got home I decided that the wooden rail I bought with this wooden box should be attached. I cut 2 pieces of trim and attached the wooden rail to the top of the box so it would stand up high behind the box. I painted the wood with raw silk by Fusion Mineral Paint. R…
