How to Make Easy Lavender Heart Sachets

Lavender sachet hearts from drop cloth fabric.

I made a heart shape using paper and traced and cut hearts from the drop cloth material.

Putting right sides together, I sewed around the heart with my sewing machine leaving a small opening at the point to fill the heart.

If you're in the market for a sewing machine, this one is great!

I went for the simplest heavy duty machine I could find and this one is it!

I filled each heart with a scented lavender seed mixture.

You can also use lavender buds.

See my affiliate suggestions for supplies at the bottom of this post.

I used antique buttons as decoration.

  1. I love them. The heart in the cage looks so great. I really like how you put your own spin on them with the buttons.

  2. Thanks so much for following me, you have no idea how thrilled I am!! Now I can follow you too! I absolutely love your craft room pics. I am finally going to get mine officially painted and set up next month (it's a wreak right now)!

P.S. You are one of 2 followers I got, and since I'm new I guess, I have no idea which one of you followed me first! So, I will send you each a "scrapbook for your wall" if you would like one. Just message me with the address you would like it sent to, and if there are any color combos or specific numbers you would like me to paint on the burlap ribbon, just let me know!

  7. Loved the hearts with vintage buttons. Looks perfect in the cage. Just saw your cloche too. Great idea and a great Goodwill find. Once we start "thrifting", it's impossible to go back to back full price - wouldn't you say??
