A Repurposed Chalkboard from a Door

The old door headboard turned out great!

But you know how I hate to have left over pieces
when I make a project.

This was the end of the door I cut off.

Hmmm.

The board slides out of here.

And the mitered trim pieces fit perfectly around it.

Hmmmmm....

Are you with me on this?

I used wood glue and clamps and glued the trim in place.

Then I painted the trim white.

And painted the center with chalkboard paint.

Then I used an old window chain to hang it from.

And a chalkboard ledge to hold the chalk.

And now the left over piece from the headboard is a chalkboard!

Waste not, want not!
