Navy Blue Maple Side Table

Almost every vintage thing in the driveway was $1.00

It was the best garage sale, you know the ones where there was an old lady living there for her whole life and her family

just wants to clear the house...

Including this maple side table.

It weighs a ton and is solid as a rock!

I brought it home and painted it Napoleonic Blue
with Annie Sloan Chalk Paint.

I gave it a very light coat, then distressed it and used dark wax for depth and protection.

The finish is fabulous!

It's a dark navy blue.

and it looks so pretty next to my bed!

This dark blue is a gorgeous color!

  1. This table is just beautiful! I never used to be a "blue" person, but with the destressing and waxing I am beginning to love it again. I just sold a table and two chairs in the blue with dark wax, in the shop and they were to die for. I left the top stained and just waxed it with the dark wax. I only paid $15 bucks for all...SCORED!

  2. Beautifully done, Susan! What a great buy, too! I haven't been to any sales with good prices lately. I'm hoping to get a few more in before the season is over. Hopefully, those end of season yard sales will be better.

  8. I realize this was a LONG time ago but dang, I LOVE that table! I'd have snatched it up at the garage sale too! My current project is rocking chairs that I got for free on Craigslist.
