Bee with Wreath and Rosette Pillows
I had the day off with my car in the shop so I used
this day to work on projects for my next craft fair.
You had to see my kitchen... sewing machine out, paint, tables, trunks, transfers, totes... you name it, I was working on it. It looked a little like Santa's workshop.
I thought I had more time but just realized that the craft fair I signed up for was taking place in 2 weeks...Yikes!
Today I'm using scrap pieces of grain sack fabric from repurposed napkins for the front of the pillows and striped ticking fabric on the back.
Using a product called Transfer Artist Paper I printed out a bee and wreath image from the Graphics Fair.
I added a cute little rusty bell to the center of the wreath.
Another pillow I made is the same as the bee/wreath
pillow but without the bee. On this pillow I added a rosette with a tiny pearl bead that matches the ticking fabric on the back of the pillow.
The rosettes are easy to make. With a long strip of the cotton ticking fabric, I twisted the strip then wrapped it into a rosette shape. I used a few stitches on the back to hold it in place.
These were easy to make and look amazing.
Update: They all sold out at the craft fair!
Those pillows are so sweet! I am sure they will be a big hit at the craft fair :-)

Love that bee transfer. I've used the same one on pillows, too. I've also put the rosettes on pillows. Love your choice of contrasting fabric! xoKathleen
ReplyDeleteYour pillows are so pretty! But then everything you make is.
