Creating a Valance With Fencing- Project Challenge
My challenge this month was to do a project using fencing...
This project took me back to 2012 when I created a window valance that got a lot of attention and one that I still adore...
Using plastic fencing from Home Depot I created a junk lovers window valance.
First, I cut the bottom stakes off the plastic fencing flipped the fencing upside down. I used twine to tie the fencing to the curtain rod which I painted black to match the fencing.
I clipped post cards, photos, wooden signs, tags, and assorted metal treasures to the valance. I'm using white cotton drapes down each side of the valance to create the curtained look.
My craft room has gone through many transformations since this picture was taken. You can see them here but the garden fence valance remains one of my favorite things.
Thank you for letting me share my fencing project with you today and I look forward to creating something new for next months group challenge.
Now please stop by and visit my friends that are also doing this challenge with fencing!
