Beautiful Bedroom Armoire
It is almost like the shoemaker's children... they have no shoes...
I paint furniture... and my bedroom furniture has needed painting for years.
This is the armoire in my bedroom... my husband keeps his clothes in it... and obviously all over it as well.
My bedroom furniture is finally getting painted!
I am off for the summer and ready to work.
First on the list is this armoire. I am over the knotty pine look and ready for some of my favorite neutral colors.
I'm using Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in Graphite for this piece.
I start out with one light coat of chalk paint®.
Painting this piece is easy. I painted the outside and only the inside of the doors, not the entire inside.
{Don't tell my husband but I left his clothes inside while I painted} hehe
When the chalk paint® was dry I used a fine grit sandpaper to distress the edges then used Artisan Enhancements Clear Topcoat to seal the piece.
The top coat goes on a little milky but dries clear so don't panic!
This piece looks fantastic and I'm ready to work on the rest of the bedroom set so stay tuned!
The bed is already painted in Graphite to match this piece... wait for the reveal.
One piece down and 3 more to go!
