Double Chalkboard Message Center
From Target dollar section to beautiful home decor.
The Target dollar section has chalkboards for $3.
I used 2 of them on this project along with an old cabinet door someone gave me.
I screwed all four corners of the chalkboard to the cabinet door.
I used Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in French Linen to paint the frames and the cabinet.
This color is a beautiful brownish grey.
I added a wooden box between the chalkboards for a chalk holder and 3 clips to the bottom of the cabinet door to hold photos or coupons.
This was a surprisingly easy project since the chalkboards were ready to go.
Metal letters were perfet to write the word NOTES at the top of the cabinet.
A great message center for a small entry way.

Well our Target doesn't have any chalk boards dadgumit anyway. Our Target is kinda lame. Every time we go in there I head right for the bins. I hear about all these outstanding goodies on blog land then am disappointed when I get there. Ah well, life goes on huh? Maybe just not meant to buy those goodies
ReplyDelete. I was really upset with Target when they stopped supplying the $1 Tootsie rolls. We used to share one on way home. Tootsie Rolls would be our treat after supper for 3 or 4 days.
I absolutely love how you combined those chalk boards, box for chalk, etc. and the cupboard door, genious idea. How clever of you and it looks great. Nice addition to wherever you hung it. I have a cabinet door from Habitat and chalk board, have hubs make little box. Won't be as awesome as yours but so glad you shared your clever idea. Enjoy all those Target surprises for me ok?
