How to Make Pedestal Cookie Dishes

A few years ago I needed Christmas projects for a few upcoming holiday shows.

Pedestal Cookie Dishes

A friend suggested an easy, inexpensive, and very practical project.

Cookie plates.

Who doesn't love to get a plate of cookies?

And adding a pedestal made it just that much more fun!

These cookie dishes are made from beautiful thrift store cake plates and dollar store candlesticks.

EASY and very inexpensive to make!

I've made many pedestal dishes before on Homeroad but I was using them for jewelry and candy buffets.

Cookies! That was a great idea!

I used E6000 glue to attach the glass candlesticks to the bottom of the cake plates.

(cake plates are the perfect size for cookies and are not top heavy)

I added a bow and a price tag and I was D.O.N.E.!

Each cookie dish was sold with a recipe card and a gift tag.

These plates sold like hot cakes!

I didn't bring even one home from the craft fair!

They are beautiful and make easy and inexpensive gifts!

Who would't want to get a plate of cookies on one of these?

Neighbors, friends, co-workers...
fill a decorative plate with cookies!
