I had to do it... the fabric in the donation bin was just too cute to give away so I'm repurposing it for Spring! 

I've been working with a Sherpa jacket I found in the donation pile. I've made many different projects this season including these adorable Sherpa Christmas trees...

This project began in the donation bag but if you visit the thrift stores you can easily find sherpa for this pumpkin project. Sherpa is a textured and warm fabric that looks amazing when recycled into a pumpkin...

Today I'm grabbing some recycled sherpa from the donation pile in my basement. 
I have several daughters and a few still live at home or very near by and they have more used clothing to donate than I can even believe! 
Repurposing fabric is a great way to recycle and the cute projects you can make with them are not only cute but very cost effective. 
Today I'm making mushroom ornaments made with a recycled sherpa jacket... let's call them Sherpa Shrooms!

Every time I think I'm out of ideas for Homeroad,  I head to the thrift store.
I almost always come away with at least one idea and today was no different. 
I found a great wreath at the thrift store and finished up my idea with a couple of items from the dollar store.

I had an old fleece blanket I cut up a while back for a project and trust me I'll be using the rest of the scraps again real soon!
