If you know me you know I like to go for a walk whenever I can. Lately, I've been walking a little slower with my new puppy Sammy. 
I often find cool things on the side of the road and have been known to be seen carrying some pretty strange things down the road on my way home.

When I saw this black Christmas tree in a photo of someone's bathroom I knew I had to make one for myself!  Little did I realize until I started just how easy it was to do...

This push pin project probably isn't what you're thinking right now, as a matter of fact, it was nothing like I was thinking... 
I started with simple supplies from discount stores and ended up with the cutest rustic Christmas tree ornaments!

I've been working with a Sherpa jacket I found in the donation pile. I've made many different projects this season including these adorable Sherpa Christmas trees...

I'm using what I have in the junk pile today to create a  chalkboard memo stand.
This tree slice cutting board was in the donation pile but I pulled it out to use it for a new project.
The first thing I did was to find a dowel that was the right size to fit into the stand. 



The one I found was the wrung of an old chair.  The stand I'm using was the candle holder leftover from this project. I glued the stand to the base with E6000 glue. I attached the cutting board to the dowel using a few random pieces from my junk supply.  Here's the back: I attached a small piece of Scrabble tray with hot glue to the front to hold chalk.  I painted the entire piece with black chalkboard paintthen added a hook to the top of the board to hold notes or photos.

Lemons are all the rage so today I'm going to make a lemon project using napkins and thrifted placemats! 
I found these fun lemon napkins at the dollar store and saved them for over a year before finally deciding what to do with them. 
I hope this project inspires you to do something similar with napkins you might find!

I just love a cloche around anything! 
I've made so many through the years, each one just a little bit different than the next. 
Today while cleaning out the shed, I ran across a roll of wire fence. 
I was about to throw it in the garbage and then had an idea!
