Repurposed Teapot Birdhouse

I cleaned the basement recently and threw out a lot of junk until I ran across this aluminum teapot.

This was getting repurposed!

Aluminum is very soft so it was easy to remove the handle.

In the place of the handle on one side I added the end of a broken silver plated knife for the bird perch.

At the other end I added a decorative metal piece and a length of chain.

I hung the birdhouse outside and spray painted it with Krylon Color Master in Ivy Leaf. (Amazon affiliate link)

This was one piece I was happy to save from the trash.

Now that the snow is finally gone and the sun is shining bright today, I can't wait for the birds to find this beautiful birdhouse!
