This old sign was a garage sale find with flip flops all over it.
It is now a brand new chalkboard with farmhouse style.
Make a Thrift Store Sign Into a Chalkboard
I painted the front and back with chalkboard paint then glued an old Scrabble tile shelf to the front to hold chalk. I hung a buffalo check ribbon through the holes that were there to hang the chalkboard.
I added the little hello with Chalk Couture, a fun little silkscreen process that takes minutes.
That's all it took to turn an outdated thrift store find into an awesome new chalkboard. It's great to hang on a door.
