Repurposed thrift store finds are my favorite. Especially when they are made to fool the eye!

In the spirit of Christmas and all that is junky... today I cut apart a rusty, galvanized planter that was doomed for the trash.  

I love the look of galvanized steel and today I'm creating  the look using paint.

Do you ever shop your home? I mean rather than the thrift shop or clearance aisle? Shop for things in your closets and cupboards that you may not always use? Well I did today when I saw a photo in a magazine, I knew I could reproduce the wall shelf with a tray I had in my kitchen. 

Recently I moved my potting bench from one end of the yard to another. 
It looks amazing in it's new spot so I gave it a makeover. I had several new DIY ideas for the table that would make my potting bench work for me.

Today I am trying a new transfer gel called Omni Gel.

This was honestly just an experiment and it worked the very first time.
I used a product I saw on Pinterest called Omni Gel. I got mine on Amazon.com

I followed the directions on the package... it was simply painting a few coats on top of a print from my computer. 
The print was not reversed. When the few coats of Omni Gel have dried you rub off the paper and you are left with a plastic film of gel with the picture on it.

I placed the gel film onto the pitcher then gave it another coat of Omni Gel over the top.

When it dried I got a PERFECT transfer and I can not wait to try it on something e…

Right about now you are all probably decorated for Christmas already but if you're like me, you're adding little touches every day! 
Until it is time to take it down right after Christmas that is. 😂
This project however can be added at the last minute or decorated with a different design for another day!

Today I'm repurposing another drawer from this old tool box.

Recently I had the opportunity to grab a bunch of vintage items from a store that was changing it's look. 
I grabbed old tools and wooden boxes, along with vintage metal cans and a few things I wasn't even sure what they were. 
Today I'm repurposing the very large pulley that was in the haul.
