Easy Jack-O-Lantern Coasters

When I find an easy thrift store makeover I'm on it!

I'm usually not in the door for long before I've got the project started.

Especially when it's an adorable little Fall project that can be done in no time while watching TV.

Today I found just that easy project that took no time to finish and right away I put it to good use!

Here they are, the vintage cork and wood coasters I found at the thrift store.

I found a set of 4 but I really wish I had found more!

I gave these coasters a quick coat of orange spray paint and let them dry.

Next, I searched FREE jack-o-lantern face SVG files. I'm linking them here.

I am going to cut out these faces with my Cricut Joy vinyl cutter

If you don't own a vinyl cutter, you might want to check out the Cricut Joy and accessories. This machine is a small one that does smaller projects like this one and is easy to learn to use.

I used the permanent black vinyl to cut out the jack-o-lantern faces. This roll of vinyl will last you quite a while.

All I did to apply the face was to lift up the vinyl face stickers and lay them onto the orange coasters.

If you don't want to use vinyl for the face you can use a sharpie marker and make your own face right on the cork!

It is as easy as that!

The permanent vinyl stays on great even when the coasters are wet. See exhibit A below...
