Here's an easy farmhouse update for a tired old thrift store basket.
The old basket began life looking like this...
It had great moveable handles but didn't have much else that made it special. Today I'm going to make it a little more awesome by using a simple flower stencil from
Old Sign Stencils.
I taped the stencil to the basket and using a
foam pouncer, stenciled using black paint onto the basket. Because of the rough basket weave, I needed to grab a small stiff brush and get down inside the weave with the black paint.
When I removed the stencil, my basket was already looking great!
My $2 thrift store basket was ready to fill with flowers and look so much better in just minutes.
