How to Make a DIY Ribbon Rack
The minute I saw this at the thrift store I knew exactly
where I was going with it.
$2.99 and it was mine!
I painted the piece with Annie Sloan chalk paint
in Primer Red to match a craft cabinet I had re-done earlier.
I added 3 inexpensive curtain rods from Home Depot.
I then hung it on the wall!
A few days after I found this I saw another just like
it in an antiques shop... they wanted $78.00 for the same one!

ReplyDeleteThis kinda looks like a gun rack to me.
Thanks for sharing.
Fantastic! And I love that you screwed it straight to the wall - that's what I would do, too.

You'll treasure it all the more now that you know you got a bargain! Great idea, great price have fun with it.
ReplyDeleteIt looks to me that with a little thought and ingenuity you could tack up at least four or five more rods onto that gun/ribbon rack. Although it does not appear that you will have to worry about more storage for ribbon for quite a while.
ReplyDeleteSuch a great idea!
ReplyDeletemakes me wish i would have saved my dads gun rack! what a cleaver idea!

Very nice! great job and great hunting.
ReplyDeleteThis idea does work great. My dad made me one 30+ years ago out of 2x4's and dowel rods.
