I had a whole bunch of old shutters in my workshop and one by one I turned them into something useful and stylish.
All of these projects are easy to do and don't require a lot of resources to create.

This one was one of my favorites... this warm chocolate brown paint/stain was gorgeous and the shutter shelf I made looked amazing!
It is a great piece to use in the bathroom or kitchen to hold small items.
This one combined my love of chalkboards along with a beautiful butter cream paint.
It is perfect for a farmhouse kitchen and can of course be done in any color. The chalkboard and accessories can be purchased at the dollar store or found in thrift stores.
