Chippy Cookie Cutter HOME Sign
Now that you've made it through Christmas,
what do you do with a giant snowflake cookie cutter?
If you were a baker I guess you would make a giant snowflake cookie, but you might be tired of cookies by now.
The letters H, M and E to be exact.
The E had a little problem so I quickly fixed it up with a little wood glue and clamps.
I can't do without either one in my workshop.
I wood glued the letters to a white washed board and used the giant snowflake for the O in HOME.
I added a length of jute to the sign for hanging and a burlap bow to hang it on the front door.
A quick and easy winter front door sign and
an easy DIY project for the non-baker.

You can read all about the color of my front door and exactly how many times it's been painted...
nobody really knows for sure!
And don't laugh but we got a new front door
and I added a winter basket !

Aww, that's really cute! I've never seen a large snowflake cookie cutter before but I love it and will definitely grab it if I ever see one!

They have them in the baking section of the craft stores :) Thanks for visiting Tania!
DeleteGreat idea and repurposing! I've actually been toying with the idea of making a "Home" sign myself -- but with a wreath in place the "o". You've given me motivation to get it done. Love yours! xo Kathleen
ReplyDeleteThanks so much Kathleen! I hope you have a very happy New Year!
DeleteLove your HOME sign. The snowflake is darling and the old letters give the sign a lot of character. I like your front door! We need to paint ours - hopefully a pretty shade of blue! We've had a antique red door for so long - I need a bright new color!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much Barb! Painting the front door is easy... too easy! I've changed the color so many times we needed a new door! LOL So much fun to switch it out!
