We had a Christmas tree dilemma this year... our puppy! 
As some of you know we adopted Sam last January but what you might not know is that Sam is a terror! 
If something falls on the floor for even a minute he has it and has chewed it to bits! 
Needless to say I was very concerned about our Christmas tree this year but I came up with a solution!

For this project I started with a finial from a curtain rod, an enamelware plate, and the top from a broken post lamp.


I put these pieces together using E6000 glue and the screw attached to the bottom of the finial. 


I drilled a hole in the center of the enamelware plate and put the finial screw through the plate and into the top of the post light piece.

Today I'm making an easy repurposed project repurposing a basket full of legs from my daughter's old bedroom furniture. These are the perfect "legs" that are great for so many projects! On a recent trip to the thrift store I also purchased some inexpensive wooden bowls.Read more to see how great they look now! First, I removed the double sided screw from the furniture legs I had. 


There was no need to paint these legs because they were already white and looked great... but you could!

Today I'm creating a sturdy pedestal dish for my kitchen from things I already had around the house.  I love it when there is no trip to the store!

Here is a fun one today! It is fairly easy to make and you can keep it out all Fall season! 
I began with a simple fake pumpkin and created the cutest covered dish for the Fall. 
I'm using this at my coffee bar to hold coffee pods but you can use it for fruit, candy, or whatever you want to store away in a festive decorative dish!

I was in search of clear vessels and pedestal  dishes for a candy buffet I was planning for  my daughter's Sweet 16 party.

This was a fun project repurposed from a very interesting ice bucket. 

I've saved these light covers for a long time. They came on an outdoor set of string lights. When the lights burned out I kept the shades and they've come in pretty handy!

Today I'm making good use of the parts from  a very unusual old trunk I found on the side of the road.

A few years ago I needed Christmas projects for a few upcoming holiday shows.

I love everything with stripes.


I wear stripes all the time, I have stripes all over my house.

I think it is the graphic nature of stripes that appeals to me. I'm also a lover of red.


So when I found these enamel, red striped plates I knew right away they were perfect!


I had the perfect paint and the perfect metal part left over from an old, outdoor lamp.



I attached the enamel plate to the metal base with E6000


and that's it! 
Nothing else.


It turned out to be an adorable nautical looking pedestal dish! The base was perfect! 

My mission this week is to get the deck ready for Spring. 
We've had a couple of beautiful days so I decided to take a thrift store trip to see if there was anything I could get to repurpose for the deck. 
I found a couple of interesting items but one very ugly piece caught my eye. 
It was big enough to use as a plant stand on the deck but definitely needed a makeover!
